Understanding The Standards

The crucial "first step" to success in earning your National Board Certificate is in understanding The Standards.  Although the standards differ by certificate area, they are similar in many ways.  It will not confuse you too much to be in a discussion group on standards with people who do not share your certificate area.  What is important is that you study them, understand them and can apply them to your teaching.  Success is crucial to being able to articulate your understanding as you analyze and reflect on your teaching.
